Perforated V 32/32/8

Stenrix™ stone perforated panels is made with a 2-layer perforation structure, which traps and diffracts sound in the holes. The sound that passes through the perforation is further absorbed by an acoustic substrate such as fibreglass or mineral wool, which reduces reverberation in the room. The perforation comes in many sizes ranging from 1mm to 25mm. Smaller holes are better at attenuating low frequency sounds, whereas larger holes are better at reducing high frequency sounds.

A square black slate with a grid of small round holes sits on a light background, bordered by green palm leaves in the top right and bottom left corners.

Technical Drawing

The Stenrix™ V 32/32/8 perforated panel features 8mm diameter staggered perforation spaced 32mm apart. The design efficiently diffuses and absorbs sound, making it ideal for sound-sensitive environments.

Flat lay of various textured stone tiles surrounded by green leaves, ferns, and small dried leaves on a white background, showcasing a natural and earthy aesthetic.

Sound Absorption Coefficient

Stenrix™ is tested to ISO 354 Standards, which is the measurement of sound absorption in a reverberation room. The difference in the reverberation times is a measure of the amount of absorption in the room.

Large green monstera leaves and small fern leaves are arranged on a light, textured square tile background, creating a minimalist and natural flat lay composition.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Perforated V 32/32/8 is a stone acoustic panel with a staggered (V-pattern) perforation layout featuring 8 mm diameter holes spaced 32 mm apart. This engineered design helps trap and scatter sound, improving acoustic conditions in interior environments.

Sound waves enter the staggered perforations and are trapped and diffracted through the holes. Behind the panel, an acoustic substrate such as mineral wool or fibreglass absorbs the sound energy, which significantly reduces reverberation and echo.

These perforated panels are suitable for walls and ceilings in spaces where echo control and speech clarity are important, such as offices, classrooms, libraries, auditoriums, and commercial interiors.

Yes — these Stenrix™ panels are made from eco-friendly recyclable materials, supporting sustainable design practices while delivering effective acoustic performance.

Yes — the Perforated V 32/32/8 design is acoustically tested to ISO 354 standards, which measure sound absorption in a controlled reverberation room setup, verifying its effectiveness at reducing reverberant noise when paired with proper backing.
