Perforated E 16/16/10

Stenrix™ stone perforated panels is made with a 2-layer perforation structure, which traps and diffracts sound in the holes. The sound that passes through the perforation is further absorbed by an acoustic substrate such as fibreglass or mineral wool, which reduces reverberation in the room. The perforation comes in many sizes ranging from 1mm to 25mm. Smaller holes are better at attenuating low frequency sounds, whereas larger holes are better at reducing high frequency sounds.

A light green leaf with a brown vein lies diagonally on a white surface, partially under a rectangular, speckled board with evenly spaced black holes.

Specifications

Flat lay of various textured stone tiles surrounded by green leaves, ferns, and small dried leaves on a white background, showcasing a natural and earthy aesthetic.

Sound Absorption Coefficient

Stenrix™ is tested to ISO 354 Standards, which is the measurement of sound absorption in a reverberation room. The difference in the reverberation times is a measure of the amount of absorption in the room.

Large green monstera leaves and small fern leaves are arranged on a light, textured square tile background, creating a minimalist and natural flat lay composition.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Perforated E 16/16/10 panel is a stone acoustic panel with a linear hole pattern where holes measuring 10 mm diameter are spaced 16 mm apart in both directions. It uses a two-layer perforation structure that traps and diffracts sound for improved acoustic performance.

Sound waves enter the holes and are guided into the panel’s interior, where an underlying acoustic substrate (like mineral wool or fibreglass) absorbs them. This reduces reverberation and echo, especially in rooms with hard surfaces.

Perforated E 16/16/10 panels are suitable for walls and ceilings in spaces such as offices, auditoriums, libraries, cinemas, and commercial interiors where balanced acoustic control and design aesthetics are needed.

Yes — these perforated stone panels are made from eco-friendly, recyclable materials and designed for long-lasting performance, helping reduce environmental impact while also achieving building-appropriate acoustic performance.

When tested to ISO 354 acoustic standards with an appropriate backing material, these panels show strong efficacy in sound absorption — helping lower reverberation time and improve speech clarity in treated spaces.
