Perforated E 32/32/8

Stenrix™ stone perforated panels is made with a 2-layer perforation structure, which traps and diffracts sound in the holes. The sound that passes through the perforation is further absorbed by an acoustic substrate such as fibreglass or mineral wool, which reduces reverberation in the room. The perforation comes in many sizes ranging from 1mm to 25mm. Smaller holes are better at attenuating low frequency sounds, whereas larger holes are better at reducing high frequency sounds.

A square, textured, brown stone with a grid of round holes sits on a white surface, flanked by green palm leaves in the corners.

Technical Drawing

The Stenrix™ E 32/32/8 perforated panel features 8mm diameter linear perforation spaced 32mm apart. The design efficiently diffuses and absorbs sound, making it ideal for sound-sensitive environments.

Flat lay of various textured stone tiles surrounded by green leaves, ferns, and small dried leaves on a white background, showcasing a natural and earthy aesthetic.

Sound Absorption

Stenrix™ is tested to ISO 354 Standards, which is the measurement of sound absorption in a reverberation room. The difference in the reverberation times is a measure of the amount of absorption in the room.

Large green monstera leaves and small fern leaves are arranged on a light, textured square tile background, creating a minimalist and natural flat lay composition.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Perforated E 32/32/8 is a stone acoustic panel with a linear hole pattern where 8 mm diameter perforations are spaced 32 mm apart. This configuration is engineered to diffract and absorb sound effectively while offering a clean, modern stone finish for interior surfaces.

The panel’s two-layer perforation structure allows sound waves to enter the holes and enter an acoustic substrate (like fibreglass or mineral wool) beneath the panel. This traps and dissipates sound energy, reducing echo and reverberation in treated spaces.

Yes — Perforated E 32/32/8 panels are suitable for a wide range of walls and ceilings in places like offices, libraries, classrooms, auditoriums, and home theatres, improving acoustics while adding natural stone aesthetics.

Absolutely. These panels are made from eco-friendly, recyclable materials, aligning with sustainable design principles and helping to reduce environmental impact without compromising acoustic functionality.

Yes — Stenrix™ perforated panels undergo acoustic testing to ISO 354 standards, which measures sound absorption in controlled environments. When paired with an appropriate acoustic backing, they help significantly lower reverberation times in interior spaces.
