Perforated V 16/16/6

Stenrix™ stone perforated panels is made with a 2-layer perforation structure, which traps and diffracts sound in the holes. The sound that passes through the perforation is further absorbed by an acoustic substrate such as fibreglass or mineral wool, which reduces reverberation in the room. The perforation comes in many sizes ranging from 1mm to 25mm. Smaller holes are better at attenuating low frequency sounds, whereas larger holes are better at reducing high frequency sounds.

A marble-patterned board with evenly spaced holes sits on a white surface, surrounded by green fern and broad leaves in the corners.

Technical Drawing

The Stenrix™ V 16/16/6 perforated panel features 6mm diameter staggered perforation spaced 16mm apart. The design efficiently diffuses and absorbs sound, making it ideal for sound-sensitive environments.

Flat lay of various textured stone tiles surrounded by green leaves, ferns, and small dried leaves on a white background, showcasing a natural and earthy aesthetic.

Sound Absorption

Stenrix™ is tested to ISO 354 Standards, which is the measurement of sound absorption in a reverberation room. The difference in the reverberation times is a measure of the amount of absorption in the room.

Large green monstera leaves and small fern leaves are arranged on a light, textured square tile background, creating a minimalist and natural flat lay composition.

Eco-friendly

Frequently Asked Questions

Stenrix™ Perforated V 16/16/6 is an architectural timber acoustic panel featuring 6 mm diameter perforations arranged in a staggered (V) pattern with 16 mm spacing, designed to balance visual texture with effective sound absorption for wall and ceiling applications.

The staggered perforation layout helps scatter sound waves across the panel surface while allowing sound energy to pass through the holes into an acoustic backing, where it is absorbed to reduce reverberation and improve overall acoustic comfort in interior spaces.

These panels are well suited for walls and ceilings in offices, auditoriums, classrooms, libraries, conference rooms, and commercial interiors, particularly in environments that require controlled acoustics without sacrificing a refined stone appearance.

In this designation, “V” refers to a staggered perforation arrangement, “16/16” indicates the horizontal and vertical spacing between perforations in millimetres, and “6” denotes the perforation diameter, together defining both the panel’s visual rhythm and acoustic behaviour.

Yes, these panels are manufactured using eco-friendly, recyclable materials and are designed to work with ISO-tested acoustic substrates, making them suitable for sustainability-focused projects that demand reliable sound absorption and high-quality stone finishes.
